  • Sep. 2013 : Starts to supply refractories for the operation of Hyundai Steel’s Integrated
    Steel Mill Unit 3.
  • Oct. 2011 : Signs a package contract to supply refractories and build refractory

  • Oct. 2009 : Signs a contract on refractories for the operation of Hyundai Steel’s
    Integrated Steel Mill and construction & maintenance services
  • Oct. 2009 : Relocates HQ; Holds a completion ceremony for Dangjin Factory
    (in Dangjin, Chungnam Province)
  • Apr. 2008 : Acquires Seocheon Powder Processing Factory
  • Dec. 2007 : Signs a package contract to supply refractories and build refractory linings
    for the construction of Hyundai Steel’s Integrated Steel Mill Unit 1
    and Unit 2
  • Jul. 2005 : Participates in a joint venture to establish Yinkou New East Refractories
    Co., Ltd in China
  • Oct. 2000 : Listed on the stock exchange

1990’s

  • Jan. 1995 : Company is renamed to Korea Refractories Co., Ltd. (KRC)
  • Dec. 1990 : Obtains a license to build a corporate R&D center (Ministry of Science
    and Technology, No. 485)

1980’s

  • Jan. 1985 : Completes the construction of the monolithic refractories factory
  • Sep. 1983 : Signs a technological partnership with Combustion-Eng.
    (currently VESUVIUS) in the U.S.
  • Jul. 1980 : The current management acquires the company

1970’s

  • Jun. 1974 : The construction of Jinyeong Factory is completed; company is renamed to
    Korea Special Refractories Co., Ltd
  • May 1973 : Korea Special Refractories Shop is founded
